About this event
Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of NONVIOLENT action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that in America, the power lies with the people.
SAVE OUR COUNTRY. SAVE OUR COMMUNITY - Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that in America, the power lies with the people.
On July 17, the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’s passing, we’re taking action across the country to defend our democracy and carry forward his legacy of Good Trouble.
From voter suppression bills like the SAVE Act to the criminalization of protest, the Trump administration is launching a full-scale assault on our fundamental freedoms. But we know the truth: the power still lies with the people and now is our time to rise and prove it.
This event is a moral call to action. This is founded in the movement John Lewis helped lead, and a new front in the fight for freedom, dignity, and justice for all.
We’re gathering to honor Lewis’s legacy and to prepare ourselves, together, for what’s coming. This is a moment of decision for our country and for our community. The stakes are real, and the threats are escalating. Now is the time to get informed, get connected, and get organized. We need every voice, every heart, and every hand in the work ahead.
Join us for inspiring speakers, community connection, and information on how to plug into local efforts, whether you want to take action, offer support, or find your unique way. We’ll close the evening with a community march to Courthouse Park to show that Tuolumne County stands for democracy, justice, and Good Trouble.
