ICE Out For Good - Sonora

Jan 10th | 2pm - 4pm | Old Wards Ferry Overpass (by Walmart and Lowes)

Stand for justice. Call for accountability. Demand an end to ICE.

A nationwide coalition is mobilizing for a weekend of action to demand justice for the woman shot by ICE and to take a public stand to abolish ICE. We are gathering for a peaceful, lawful, nonviolent action to make our voices heard.

Tuolumne County Indivisible Action Details

Date: Saturday, January 10, 2026Time: 2:00–4:00 PMLocation: Old Wards Ferry Overpass (near Walmart Mechanics parking lot, also by Lowes)

Why we’re mobilizing

On Wednesday, January 7, ICE killed an American citizen in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This killing reflects an increasing pattern of unchecked violence and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies. Furthermore, the administration continues to lie to the public while people are getting kidnapped, abused, and killed. We refuse to normalize it. We will show up, speak the truth in public, and demand changes.

What to expect

This action is:

  • Nonviolent and lawful
  • Community-led
  • Held in a public space
  • Concluded before dark

We encourage everyone to bring signs and show up to fight authoritarian take-over and a police state in our country.

Safety and conduct guidelines

To keep this action safe and lawful:

  • No civil disobedience
  • No weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted
  • De-escalate confrontation and avoid engagement with anyone looking to provoke conflict
  • Follow directions from volunteer marshals and respect all local laws
