April 19 Day of Action

What’s Happening on April 19 in Tuolumne County?
Tuolumne County Indivisible is answering 50501’s national call for a Day of Action—and we’re opting to do what many others in the nation are doing: showing up for our community. We’re focusing on a food drive.
Our primary focus is: Nancy’s Hope
797 W. Stockton St., Sonora (look for the roll-up door on the side)
Open Mon–Sat, 10am–4pm
There’s a constant need. About 35% of recipients are unsheltered and appreciate ready-to-eat items like canned ravioli, soups, and chili. The rest are housed and rely on basic pantry staples.
Most-needed items include:
• Canned meals and soups
• Pasta, sauce, tuna, peanut butter, cereal
• Milk, cheese, yogurt, frozen items (they have refrigeration)
Other Food Bank Options (Weekdays Only):
Interfaith
18500 Stryker Ct., off Tuolumne Rd.
Tues–Fri, 10am–1pmFocus on nonperishables like rice, beans, canned veggies/fruit, and even sweet treats like cake or brownie mix.
ATCAA
10059 Victoria Way, Jamestown
Mon–Fri, 8am–2:30pm (Closed 4/25)
Same needs as above—shelf-stable pantry items.
Let’s turn this moment into meaningful action for our neighbors. This is what community care looks like.
April 5th was a powerful global moment. Millions stood up—peacefully, in unity—against authoritarianism. That energy continues.
And when the next national protest is called, we’ll be ready. Stay tuned.
